Biking for Bloodwise

Birmingham Bikeathon 2016 · 10 July 2016 ·
Feb 2015 I was diagnosed with Non Hodgkin Lymphoma, a form of blood cancer, which infiltrated my bone marrow becoming Stage4. I had monoclonal antibody treatment to induce remission.
MAB treatment is similar to chemo and I needed to change my lifestyle. That is how I came to start cycling, which I had not done since brain tumours stole sense of balance in my twenties.
This year I have set myself a goal to complete 4 "named" sportive rides including the Bloodwise Birmingham Bikeathon. Along the way I expect to exceed cycling 1000 miles and lose a further 10% bodyweight.
