I've completed a lot of charity walks and cycle rides in the past, but this year's Life Cycle in aid of breast cancer research is a cause very close to my heart as several close friends and colleagues have been battling the disease in recent years.

Funds raised by the cycle ride will fund research targeting earlier detection of breast cancer; therapies to manage the spread of the disease; and personalised treatment.
