Lovely Labrador Tia started to put on weight after being spayed and has since developed joint problems. Her owner is a full-time carer and has chronic back problems so Tia’s walks had to be reduced. All this has resulted in Tia weighing in at 58.2kg making her 94% overweight. 

Tia is one of the overweight PDSA Pet Fit Club finalists, comprising 13 ‘huge hounds’, 5 ‘mega moggies’, and 3 flabby rabbits, who have been put on a strict six month diet and exercise plan by PDSA vets and nurses to help them slim down to a healthier weight and improve both their life expectancy and quality of life
