Story
In the year of my 65th birthday I wanted to do something that would challenge me both physically and mentally. Luckily my golfing buddy and friend Louise Cameron was also happy to undertake this challenge, and over the past few months we have been busy training. On the 21st August we have decided to stage our own version of a duathalon (alternating cycling and walking) for 24 hours.
During our lives we have had the great pleasure to have met inspirational individuals. It is their inspiration that is giving us the drive and determination to achieve this challenge. The charities we have chosen, My name’5 Doddie Foundation, Marie Curie and Penumbra ( Scotland’s largest mental health charity with key workers in Montrose, Arbroath and Brechin) are close to our hearts from having known these inspirational individuals.
Louise’s employers Findlays, chartered accountants, have very generously agreed to sponsor us and any other donations would be greatly appreciated.
