Story

I'm running this weekend in memory of my dear cousin Angela Grundy, who sadly passed away in November in Springhill Hospice, aged 58. She was a truly inspiring mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend. It's still very difficult to believe she's not with us, that we will never again see her sharp wit and loving smile.

Angela received wonderful care at Springhill. From its peaceful garden to its superb round-the-clock care, from the full time staff to the volunteers, it's a place which does everything possible to make the unbearable seem a little more bearable.

Thank you for taking the first step to helping raise the £3 million a year it costs to keep the doors of Springhill Hospice open. The services it provides are free of charge and care for adults aged 18 and over with a life limiting illness. As well as caring for in-patients it also provides respite care, pain and symptom control, counselling for patients and family members, a day hospice for out-patients, hospice care in the home and bereavement advice. Thank you so much for your support. They could not carry on their work without you.
