Here is a bit more about what Oxford Homeless Pathways is and what the money will mean to them...
Founded in 1985 Oxford Homeless Pathways (OxHoP) have offered services to thousands of homeless people, supporting them through their darkest times and offering them hope, stability and a brighter future. Our integrated services cover a wide spectrum of homelessness. We operate a 56-bed direct access emergency hostel (O’Hanlon House) in Oxford city centre and an 83-unit supported housing project (Julian Housing) in East Oxford. The aim of the organisation is to assist homeless people in tackling the problems that have led them to being homeless and help equip them with the skills necessary to sustain independent accommodation in the future.
The Sleepout organised by the Oxford Playhouse gives people the opportunity to gather together and reflect on homelessness in Oxford. It increases awareness in the community and raises funds that are essential to delivering our services. The money donated to Oxford Homeless Pathways will be spent on our training, education and activities programme. This programme ensures that every client is engaged in vocational activities suited to their individual needs. A meaningful occupation plays a crucial part in clients maintaining tenancies once they have left our services.
So please dig deep and donate now. Thank you.
