Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On New Years Day, what should have been a good day out on the North Yorkshire Moors became a full blown Mountain Rescue operation after our Family dog, Ruby fell over 100ft down a cliff in what can only be described as a 'freak accident'.

The full story along with pictures of Ruby's rescue can be found on the Scarborough and Rydale Mountain Rescue Website here:

http://www.srmrt.org.uk/news/new-year-action-for-the-team/

Unbelievably, one of the Team Members on call out that day was a Vet and Ruby was recovered to a Veternary Team on standby in Pickering. Later she was transfered to a Specialist Spinal Injury Unit and I am very pleased to say that she's making a full recovery.

It is no exageration to say that Ruby would not have survived without the dedication and professionalism of the Team that day and our thanks go to all the Team Members who assisted in the rescue, as well as the veternary team in Pickering who took charge of Ruby's care.

I will be running the Beverley 10k to raise money for the Mountain Rescue Team who are a registered charity and funded entirely through donations.

Hopefully, you'll never need the services of Mountain Rescue... I've managed for nearly 25 years without having to call them but I can tell you this: If you ever need them, you'll be extemely grateful that they are there... sometimes (like the A-Team) 'Nobody else can help'!

Thanks again!
