Story
I'm the one in the wheelchair. Behind me are my two daughters, Holly and Hannah and my son in law-to-be, Chris. Ever since I first encountered The Orpheus Centre I've wished with all my heart that there could have been something like it when I was ready to go to college. Disabled people just didn't have anything to do with performing arts then, and I had to fight my corner every step of the way to get anywhere near a stage. I got there in the end but it took years of battle and pejudice to get where I am now. However, with "The Orpheus Centre" in place with its wonderful staff and founder, opportunities have been opened up for those with disabilities who aspire towards performing arts. Long may it last! It needs your generosity to keep going, because it has to keep going.
I was going to do this dive by myself, but my family wanted to fall out with me so we're all falling out together. We'd love you to support us
