Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Since September last year I have been competing in the Clipper Round the World
Yacht Race (www.clipperroundtheworld.com)
on the yacht Great Britain and using the opportunity at the many stopovers to
check out the status of Rugby 7’s a new Olympic Sport in 2016. The final leg of
the race with GB challenging for the lead is New York to London via Londonderry
and Den Helder in the Netherlands where I have organised an inter boat Sevens
Competition.
I want to use this final leg to raise money for Wooden Spoon, the Children’s Charity of Rugby. Wooden Spoon was founded in 1983 and since
then has been dedicated to making a difference to the lives of disadvantaged
and disabled children and young people throughout the UK.
They are one of the largest UK funders of respite and medical treatment
centers, sensory rooms, specialist playgrounds, sports activity areas, and
community-based programmes www.woodenspoon.com.
So Please support me on my epic challenge and help raise money for
disadvantaged children and young people. Who knows I might even have my beard
shaved when we reach St Katharine’s Dock on 12th July.
Thanks for your support.
