Story
In February this year we went on a family holiday to Lanzarote when on the 2nd day my Grandma Keyna suffered a stroke in her room. Because of the treatment needed she was taken by helicopter to Gran Canaria where she stayed nearly 2 weeks in hospital before being able to be flown home by Air Ambulance.
Before her stroke Grandma was very active and fun and my last memory of her before the stroke was playing cards with her and my Grandad as well as being taught how to skim stones in the sea hours before her stroke.
Since the stroke she is now not able to do many active things and spends lots of time in a wheelchair or in bed. She is still the same loving, fun and brilliant Grandma.
I want to raise awareness and money for stroke association to help other people who suffer from a stroke and to try and make their lives more liveable.
On the 5th August, I have persuaded my daddy, uncle and auntie into taking part in the Tatton 5km inflatable race . This challenge means we have to run 5km, whilst also overcome 32 different inflatable obstacles.
Thankyou for reading my story, if you can make any donation we would be really grateful.
