Hey everyone, thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. As many of you will know, April 10th marks 3 years since we lost Mike to Cancer. You will also know our reason for doing this run has and will always be about remembering Mike and one of his hobbies-running! Mike took part in the Dingle Half Marathon and completed in a very impressive time only a matter of months before being diagnosed with Lung Cancer. He had planned on doing the Great Limerick Run in May 2014 but that was not to be, and sadly as it turned out, he passed away just 3 weeks before it, only 2 months after disgnosis at the very young age of 34! So we decided to run it in his memory and managed to raise over €10.300 for Milford Hospice with the help of all his fantastic friends and many many people who knew him and donated. And so it began........ We are now in our 4th year of doing this run to remember Mike while raising much needed funds for the wonderful Hospice where he spent his last days. For us, we feel as long as we have the ability to run (which so many don't) we will run, and we will keep fundraising for a charity that is so worthy of it! With cancer scarily on the rise Milford are currently in the process of building an extension to facilitate the rising number of patients, so they need our help now more than ever before........
