We’re going again...I enjoyed Bournemouth so much and loved raising money, that I’m running Brighton Marathon on 12th September 2021! 

Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Now have joined together to create an even more incredible charity, which is the UK’s first comprehensive breast cancer charity! Not only do they provide top quality care for patients but the money being raised is going to researching cancer to try and find ways of beating it! 

They have strong beliefs that by 2050, anyone who is diagnosed with Breast Cancer, will survive! They have the man power and the strength as two charity’s in one to provide this hope! 

17 years ago now, my mum was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and at the time, being so young, I didn’t really realise how serious this was! She went through months of treatment, lost all her hair (which I used to help pull out), and went through a Mastectomy. But she got through it and here she is today 17years clear! She’s had her fair share of scares throughout the years since, but so far nothing! She was so brave during the whole process and she really is one of the strongest women I know!

A couple of years ago, I also had a scare. Being told that there’s a chance you could have breast cancer at the age of 20 was terrifying! But I was one of the lucky ones! And this is what really pushed me into deciding to do this. When you’re sat there waiting to be called in for your results you really don’t know what to think, its one of the most terrifying experiences of my life and to think so many people go through this but don’t get the news they want to be hearing, really is heart breaking. 

So, by doing this for Breast Cancer Now, I want to raise as much as I can to help those who have been diagnosed, to get the real support they need! It’s an incredible charity, so please, get donating!!!
