Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On October 12th 2014 I will be running the Chichester Half Marathon to help raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care. This is an amazing charity which provides high quality nursing entirely free, providing people with terminal illnesses the choice of dying at home.
They also run Hospices across the UK giving patients free specialist care and support for families along with on going research to fight the battle with Cancer.
How your donations help:
£5 pays for 20 bereavement booklets for young people who’ve lost someone close to them.
£20 pays for a Marie Curie Nurse to look after someone with a terminal illness for one hour, in the comfort of their own home.
£35 pays for a slide sheet, used by Marie Curie Nurses to move terminally ill people safely in bed
£130 pays for someone with a terminal illness to attend Day Therapy at a Marie Curie Hospice, benefitting from gentle exercise, an art class and more.
£180 pays for a Marie Curie Nurse to look after someone with a terminal illness for a full nine hour shift, in the comfort of their own home.
£4,760 will cover the cost of Marie Curie’s entire nursing service across the UK for one hour
Please dig deep and follow me on this journey of meeting my target of £150 for this worthy Charity
