Two weeks ago my family’s world turned upside down. Our beautiful daughter Olive had a sudden seizure at home. 30 minutes later paramedics are in our house, an hour later she’s with emergency team at RUH in Bath. An hour later she’s in an ambulance to Bristol Royal Children’s Hospital. Another hour later she’s having emergency neurosurgery. We now know this saved her life.

Olive had a stroke, we still don’t know exactly what caused it,  we will know more in the coming weeks and what next for her journey. Olive is the bravest person I know. She’s doing incredibly well and responding to treatment really positively.

We’re starting to raise money for the incredible set up that is Bristol Royal Childrens Hospital who support critically ill children and their families across the South West, Cornwall, Devon and Wales. Witnessing the care and love these extraordinary humans give 24/7 and in the midst of a pandemic is beyond my words 

The surgeons, doctors, nurses, physios, therapists and support staff are doing the most incredible work for Olive and countless other children day in day out. And the hospital charity has provided us with accommodation by the hospital so we can be with Olive 24/7 - a huge gift when you're experiencing the darkest of times.

We want to start raising money so this incredible system can continue to do its work and help others in the future.
