We transform young people's lives with DofE to build skills, confidence and resilience.

Story

In 2016 we're getting out of our comfort zone and challenging ourselves to hike for three days and two nights in Northumberland National Park to raise funds for the Duke of Edinburgh's award scheme.

With nothing more than shanks' pony, backpack and tent, we'll be walking across remote countryside, eschewing the usual creature comforts. We'll be camping and cooking in the wild and no doubt dreaming of a hot bath and decent meal at the end of it all.

Would you kindly spare a few bob to help make it worthwhile? The Duke of Edinburgh's award scheme gives young people a chance to challenge themselves, helping them develop confidence and learn new skills. The funds we raise will help the scheme to reach out to those who have less advantages in life, help train new leaders or fund a specially trained operations team.

Remember: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never share them with anyone or send you unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. They'll make sure Gift Aid (an additional 25%) is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer, too. That means more money goes to the charity, faster, with JustGiving.
