Story

On Friday 9 May at 4am, Simon Smyth and James Batchelor from Computer-eyez, Penina Shepherd from Acumen Business Law, Lisa Jarvis from Permanent Solutions Direct and seven other businesses are coming together to raise over £7,000 for charities across Sussex by setting off on a mammoth journey to Milan!

Organised by Gatwick Diamond Business and Creative Pod, there will be 7 cars made up of business individuals, most of them in fancy dress, are heading towards Italy against Paul Roe, Partner from Reeves Accountancy who will do the entire journey on public transport.

The journey is expected to take over 14 hours with each team having an optimum time to get to the destination along with a “shopping list” of items to pick up along the way. Co-organiser Leeann Connor said “It is an extremely gruelling yet fun challenge and we are all extremely excited ahead of our latest adventure. We look forward to raising lots of money for our member charities.”

Charities who will benefit from the challenge are CCVS, Chestnut Tree House, Golden Lion Children’s Trust, Home Start, Outreach 3Way, NSPCC, The Olive Tree, Rockinghorse, St Catherine’s Hospice, Sussex & Surrey Air Ambulance, Sussex Community Foundation, Sussex Wildlife Trust, Young Enterprise & Young Epilepsy.
