Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Our planned walk across Zimbabwe had to be postponed last summer. I want to thank you all for your donations last year and to assure you that the team of walkers remain committed to our aims.
Together with Thandi Haruperi, friend and co-walker of the River Thames in 2014 and John Usher, friend and fellow walker, we are taking on the exciting challenge of walking 225 kms, visiting 18 schools in the Chihota District and finishing at St David’s School. We start on 29th May 2017 and aim to take 12 days, resting only during the weekend.
We are acknowledging 12 years of Vana's offering practical help to children in Zimbabwe and the UK whose lives are blighted by poverty and sickness or other debilitating issues such as autism.
We are hoping to be joined along the way by the Trust’s supporters and encourage people to help us raise at least £20,000.
The Trust has made a significant difference to hundreds of individuals of all ages with a range of challenging
issues. With YOUR support we can help even more deserving people to achieve their potential. Please donate if you can.
In Zimbabwe, a Science Lab: for children to gain practical experience doing science subjects at St David’s School.
In the UK, a Livestock Barn: needed to develop further activities and experiences for our vulnerable young adults at our organic farm.
