Story
On the 1 June, Our Nottingham Centre had a little dog tied to the gates with a washing line. He was in such a poor state, bleeding from broken & sore skin, with eyes so infected they were green and very uncomfortable. The dog was subsequently named Jimmy and following an urgent trip to the vets, was diagnosed with Demodex mange, a secondary skin infection and conjunctivitis. Jimmy has been receiving much needed treatment as well as lots of TLC at our Nottingham Centre ever since and is now on the road to recovery.
We decided to highlight the plight of little Jimmy by immortalizing him in the logo for the Capital Appeal. We will post regular photo’s of his recovery & hopefully of his re-homing once he is fully recovered.
Give the gift of a bright future to our Rescue Dogs and help us raise £250k towards a new Centre in Nottinghamshire
Could you spare just £10 to help towards our Appeal of raising £250,000 for our new Rescue Centre? By sponsoring a brick, you can make a huge difference to the future of dogs in need of rescuing across Nottinghamshire.
Help our dogs feel truly cared for in their new, state-of-the-art facility by showing your support today!
The existing centre can currently only cater for 10 dogs and the kennels and associated facilities are outdated and in a poor state of repair. The new purpose-built facility will provide accommodation for 30 dogs as well as new offices, a training barn and an intake block to receive dogs when they are first brought into the centre. The house and kennels which currently make up the centre will be demolished, and overnight accommodation for staff will be provided in the new facility.
