Fundraising for Islamic Relief
Story
Hello all. Thank you for visiting my page.
This summer I’m teaming up with Islamic Relief (IR) to raise money for their water project; aimed at providing practical solutions to access safe water, effective sanitation and hygiene education. On 10th July I will be embarking on the Snowdon challenge; climbing 1,085 metres; that’s 3,560 ft to reach the summit of . Armed with very little trekking experience something tells me this is going to be a challenge and a half – just the way I like it! Please show your support by sponsoring me.
IR is an international relief and development charity, which aims to alleviate the suffering of the world’s poorest people. It is an independent Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) founded in the in 1984 by Dr Hany El Banna. It promotes sustainable economic and social development by working with local communities - regardless of race, religion or gender.
Also, IR has earned consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council; is a member of the Disaster Emergency Committee; and a member of BOND (British Overseas NGOs for Development).
