Cap Foundation has embarked on a massive step and responsibility to develop THE GUARDIANS (Orphan Village) in Bangladesh.
1 - Quality & High Standard Facility
Our aim is to build The Guardians as a quality village to provide a high standard facilities that we would like to give to our own children.
- There will be 3 dormitories to accommodate 100 Children with all high standard living facilities.
- There will be a lake inside the village to bring a calm and peaceful environment.
- There will be an outdoor play area to help the children spend quality time.
2 - Safeguarding & Protection
Our focus will be to ensure all our staff members; the careers, the teachers, mentors and the full management team will go through the child protection and child safeguarding training and this will ensure the we have installed the right method to protect each child in The Guardians.
3 - Education
Education is the passport for the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepares for it today and that is the objective from Cap Foundation.
- The Guardians will have A Primary and a Secondary School for their excellent academic education.
- A fully equipped Masjid allowing for their five daily Salah and an option for the children to become Hafiz’ul Quran.
4 - Sport and Engagement
- The Guardians will have an Indoor Sport Complex to maintain fitness and health while also allowing the children to enjoy their favorite sports.
- A Youth Club to keep the children engaged with positive activities and develop their social engagement and preparing them with life skills.
5 - Health and Wellbeing
- The Majority Children are rough sleepers, staying under the bridges and without parents. Therefore, it is likely the orphans have developed mental health illnesses such as PTSD.
- Our aim is to have a Mental Health Provision which from the very beginning will allow us to help and support them using positive and safe activities. Also to teach them about mental health and how to manage the triggers using CBT.
- The Guardians will also have the behaviour mentor provision which will allow the team to provide a more robust and targeted work and give 1:1 sessions for a positive outcome.
6 - Security On-site
- Our plan is to operate the entire Orphan Village and install a security system with CCTV Operation to monitor the premises from UK and Bangladesh putting the children’s safety at the forefront.
7 - Direct Communication Facility
- We will provide the opportunity for each donor at an appointed time per month using our secure devices to have a video conferencing call supervised by staff to speak to the children directly and receive updates, keeping track of the development of the sponsored child.
- There will be an opportunity for the sponsors to visit the orphan village and experience with the children how their day to day life is developed by
8 - Exit Strategy
- The Children will acquire apprenticeships when they become teenagers and be placed into our Technical College which will support them acquiring job based training i.e. become an Electrician, Plumber, Mobile Engineer and Computer Engineer. This will enable the children to develop life skills for their future Job prospective and become self-sufficient.
