Metastatic breast cancer currently kills an average of 31 people every single day in the UK, and yet so little is known, or done, about it. Almost all funding and research is aimed at the very curable primary breast cancer. Metastatic breast cancer remains a terminal illness, with a 100% mortality rate. Nic felt very strongly that this imbalance in knowledge and funding is wrong, and that we should try to raise as much money and awareness as we possibly can.
