Story

Les and family are requesting donations in memory of Nola, dearly loved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, who sadly passed away after losing a long battle with lymphoma.

Nola was born in Hull in 1946 and as a committed Christian spent her life in service to others. At
various times in her life she served at Scargill House, in North Yorkshire and at churches in Hull, Sheffield, Grange-Over-Sands, Bolton and Great Harwood. She worked as a hospital radiographer and later as a careers advisor in schools.

She was a loving wife to Les, mum to Jamie and Becki, step-mum to Anna and Matt, grandma to Isabel, Nina, Libby and Emily, and sister to Mick.

Lymphoma Action is the UK's only charity dedicated to Lymphoma, which is the 5th most common cancer. They offer information and support to suffers and their families. They provide support groups, a helpline and connect people to specially
trained volunteers who have a personal experience of Lymphoma, and can understand what people are going through. This would have been invaluable support to Nola and her family if we had been aware of the charity earlier.
