I have never really been one for getting heavily involved with charities and like many other people, believed that somebody else will do it or it will never happen to me, which is a terrible attitude to have.

Recently however, through a variety of different channels, I have become increasingly aware of the amazing work and impact various charities can have on an individual's quality of life. Which in turn has inspired me to get up and do something positive for such a good cause.

I have therefore planned to compete and hopefully complete the Tough Mudder Scotland event to raise money and awareness for the Teenage Cancer Trust, highlighting the dedication, hard work and support this particular charity does for those less fortunate than myself.
