We fund research to make pregnancy and birth safe for all

Story

17 years ago today I held my baby girl for the first time ever. When she was born 6 days earlier, little did I know my first hold would be the last.

Our sweet, perfectly formed little Rosie was so tiny and precious and fragile. Too fragile to survive in this world.

Even though 17 years have passed. I can remember that day like it was yesterday. I cuddled her and cried with happiness that I finally got to hold her, but so many tears of sadness too as I knew I wouldn’t get to hold her again or see her grow up, wouldn’t ever get to celebrate any of her birthdays. The sad tears came for a long time after, they still do. They always will.

I’m grateful I got to hold Rosie, and to meet her. She’s such an enormous part of my life. Even though physically not here, the space

I hold for her is huge.

I will never forget that cuddle.

I consider myself lucky that I got to find out why Rosie was born so prematurely, lots of other parents don’t get those answers. Tommy’s, the baby loss charity fund pioneering research to identify why pregnancy goes wrong, and because of that I’m running up 42 flights of stairs in the Leadenhall building aka ‘Cheesegrater’, then casually zip wiring across to the Gherkin - all to raise funds for Tommy’s so that more people can have a successful pregnancy and less people have to say goodbye to their baby.

I know it’s tough financially for many at the moment, if you have got a few quid to spare I’d massively appreciate some sponsorship.

Thank you and HUGE, HUGE, BIG LOVE ❤️🌹❤️
