Story
Many of you will know that I like a challenge, and having raised monies for many different charities over the years, this one is now for me (and for a charity that will be forever close to my heart ♥️).
October 1st 2019 my world fell apart with the news that I had Inflammatory Breast Cancer and that it was of epic proportions. Following intense chemotherapy, two surgeries, radiotherapy, sepsis, physio and covid, I made it through the biggest fight of my life!
Today I feel well enough to have signed up for the Lapland Husky Trail which involves sledging approx 170 miles over 5 days through the rolling highlands and deep forests of Lapland. From Norway to Sweden raising as much as possible to support The Lingen Davies Cancer Centre.
A challenge for me as:-
a) I’m not too keen on being cold (the sleeping bags cater for -20 degrees so I hear).
b) pitching a tent each night and looking after lots of huskies in a true ‘wilderness challenge’ apparently! Not forgetting the physical aspect of sledding 5/6 hours a day! Help!!
I am truly thankful for the lifesaving treatment that I received and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate £5 or £500. My goal is to reach at least £5k.
Please dig deep if you can, every little bit helps. (I have some ideas if you fancy doing a fundraiser on my behalf too, just private message me). Thank you so so much for your support. Means an awful lot to me x
I've included information about Lingen Davies Cancer Fund below.
