In March '99 I had a serious motorcycle accident which resulted in some significant injuries to my legs which resulted in me being medically retired.

The Firefighters Charity rehabilitation centre was fantastic and played a major part in my recovery and rehabilitation. 

I firmly believe that the reason I can take on the event is due to the help I got then. Not just physical but mental as well. It's just my way of trying to put something back.

I am funding the event myself and every penny donated will go to the charity.

I know times are tough but every penny counts.
