Story

I have worked in horticulture my entire life, studying at college and gaining experience through the Youth Training Schemes of the 80's, working at the coal face in the 90's and starting my own company, Acre Landscapes in 2008. It's been a slog, a real labour of love, I don't think anyone goes into this industry for the money.

This is why I've chosen to support Perennial, a charity dedicated to helping all horticulturists when the going gets tough. Perennial is there for those facing problems that life deals such as debt, illness and disability, providing free, confidential advice and financial support for as long as it is needed.

I love a challenge and after entering the Brighton Marathon, where I live, I was persuaded to apply for the London event too. When I got a place, it was a challenge I couldn't turn down.

Please help me raise £5000.....I will donate £1 for every £1 you give, up to £2500. Thank you
