Beginning September, I'll be leaving the UK for South Africa with International Citizen Service (ICS). ICS looks to bring young people together to fight poverty and make a difference where it is needed most. to do this, I'll be working alongside volunteers from South Africa on the project 'Upstart'. 

Upstart seeks to develop young people in the township where high levels of poverty, unemployment and a lack of basic infrastructure is still common. In particular, my peers and I will be planning and facilitating health awareness events, developing educational material and media as well as needs analysis.

To be able to go, I need to raise £800 for Lattitude who are one of the respected development charities that deliver ICS. I've volunteered overseas previously with Malawi Young Leaders of Learning (MYLOL), so I understand the importance of this trip and the impact that it will have. Any contribution made is deeply appreciated and will make a world of difference.
