Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Sunday 9th September, my family (the entire tribe including pampered pets) is taking part in a fun run to raise funds for MND Scotland.
We are doing this as a bit of a challenge post Olympics and for the opportunity to get together but mainly we are doing it to raise funds for MND Scotland.
Dad (Archie) was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) recently and we have seen first hand just how vital the work of MND Scotland is to those families affected by MND.
MND is a fatal illness with no known cause or cure. It damages and destroys the neurones that carry messages from the brain to the muscles leading to weakness and eventually paralysis. As you can imagine such an illness can be physically, emotionally and financially challenging for those living with it.
MND Scotland depends almost entirely on donors and fundraisers. They have developed a range of services to meet the needs of people affected by MND and their families. They provide specialist care and equipment services, fund much needed research to find a cure and improve the lives of those living with MND. It is a rare condition and very difficult to diagnose - the work MND Scotland do to provide ongoing support and education for patients, carers and health and social care professionals is essential.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to MND Scotland and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Thank you.
