Crossing the finish line after last year's marathon was amazing. I couldn't quite believe that I had actually done it! The crowd were incredible, it was so painful but they kept me going every step of the 26.2 miles!

Why on earth would I want to do that again? Am I striving for that sense of achievement once again? Or have a need for motivation to get up and go each day! Perhaps. But it's not just about fulfilling my own goal but to also raise a lot of money for charity!

I chose to run for Mencap again because their work is so so important! I know too well of the continuous battles that those with a learning disability and their families face, fighting for the support that they deserve! Just like my brother Matthew. We are currently fighting to keep the funding for his care at the day centre, something that he absolutely loves and gives him the social opportunities that he deserves.

So please, please help me smash my fundraising target for Mencap and all those really special people out there just like Matthew. And help me get across that finish line again, that nasty depression cloud keeps trying to stop me and tells me I can't, but I think I can!
