Story
Ah I have just realised how to update my story!
A few years ago cureleukeamia took over my dad's medication as he had the disease for over 2 years. He had undergone years of chemotherapy, various medications and 3 bone marrow transplants. One from an overseas doner and two from his sister.
The NHS after this period could do nothing more for him. Exhausting all options he was place on a new drug trial from cureleukeamia whilst based at Queen Elizibeth Hospital. At the time he was told he has months to live bu.t after undergoing this treatment he lasted for a further 2+ years. I can never thank this charity enough, the drug trials themselves cost in the region of thousands of pounds per treatment all funded by them and supported by there own nurses. In May 2013 my dad died due to an infection and some other complications, he was 57.. I am 35.. Way before his time. Myl dad lasted much longer than was initially possible and I will forever be grateful.
That is why I will continue to support and raise money for this charity, I will do all I can for them, they are so close to my heart. So please, if you can, donate a few pence or pounds towards my endeavour, it will mean more than anything to me and all the other patients they help.
thankyou for reading and more importantly thank you for supporting.
