This is the BIG ONE...the challenge of my life...the one and only bucket list tick for a runner...I'M RUNNING LONDON MARATHON!!!! EEEEEK!

I'm one of the lucky ballot place winners for London Marathon 2017...after 4 years of being rejected!

Now...I will do this once and only once!  As much as I love the endorphin high of completing a race and the build-up to the event from the months of training, nothing makes me want to turn around and run the distance again when I reach the finish line of a half marathon!  And to complete that, I must have race bling (a medal!) at the end! The thoughts of many a half marathon and more in training, with no reward, other that tiredness, a rampant hunger and a sense of belief and pride in myself, makes me terrified at the mere thought!

My social life will suffer, my alcohol consumption will be virtually nil by mouth and my family will forget who I am!

Please, virtually cheer me on...or get yourself to London on April 23rd 2017, I'll be extremely grateful of all the support...and dig deep into your pockets and spare me (and the children!) whatever you can.
