Story
Well 2020 didn't quite work out as anyone had planned did it!! If you remember I was going to climb Snowdon at Night in aid of The Alzheimer's Society and in memory of my Dad, Cliff... and if a torn ACL wasn't enough to stop me COVID hit and everything was put on hold.
I may not have a new ACL yet but I still have the determination to complete a challenge in memory of Dad and to continue my fundraising efforts. This year I am hoping to complete a 26 mile trek in the beautiful lake district, COVID and injury permitting. I will do my best to complete this challenge, as part of Cliff's Top Trekkers with my dear friend Nadine, to honour my Dad.
For all of you who donated last year in advance of my Snowdon trek, which totalled nearly £290, rest assured this will be added to my 'Trek 26' Lake District 2021 fundraising total and I am very thankful for the support already shown.
I know at the moment things are difficult and for a lot of people money is pretty tight however if you can spare anything I would be extremely grateful. Your money will be going to a great cause, one which I have benefited from at the darkest time in my life and that continues to help and support many more, particularly in this terrible time, during which I can only imagine the immeasurable pain and isolation experienced.
So I will try and keep you updated and let you know how Cliff's Top Trekkers are doing in their training and fingers crossed I get to complete the challenge this time around!!
Thank you in advance of your generosity!
Nicola
