We fund long-term, sustainable research to find a cure for brain tumours

Story

My husband David Hopkins (Did) and father to 3 children Dylan, Lydia and Sydney was diagnosed with Grade 4 brain cancer in Sept 2020, after 14 months of determination to try keep this stable he lost his life on 6th Nov 2021.  As a family we are absolutely devastated, Did was full of life and lived life to the fullest, he was the 2ndbestdancer where ever he went, with so much life to still live. He was an amazing Son, Husband, Dad, Brother and friend.

I have never run a marathon in my life and struggled to complete a half marathon, this will be a big challenge, but one I am determined to complete, more than anything else. I have my running partner and one of my best friends, running buddy Rachel training and joining me. Rachel also went to school with David (Did) and myself.

This cancer is so under funded and there needs to be more money given to help research and find a cure. Brain tumours kill more children and adults under 40 than any other cancer.

Our aim is to continue to fundraise as much as we possible can and help find a cure to stop other families having to go through what we have, treatment has not changed in many years. Things need to change!!!!
