Story
Every year, a bunch of people descend on the Script Frenzy website (www.scriptfrenzy.org) with the intention of writing a 100 page script in 30 days. If you think that sounds easy, you've never tried it. I've been eyeing this challenge for a while but have never quite worked up the nerve to take it on. This year, I'm going for it. I have 30 days from today (1st April) to churn out 100 pages of dialogue. I've never written a play before and have no idea what I'm doing, which makes it all the more frightening (and, therefore, fun). At the end of the month the script will be uploaded to the site for verification. If you can afford a couple of quid, please chip in. Every donation will make it less likely that I give up, and helps Barnardo's to fund programmes to help disadvantaged kids.
Please don't ask for a copy, it's going to be a first draft of a 90-minute monologue play and we'd both regret it. The rewritten rewritten rewritten version of the seventeenth draft will be entered into the Bruntwood Prize next year, just so we can all pretend to be taking the whole process seriously. http://www.writeaplay.co.uk/

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. If I don't make at least £100 I'll cry and it'll be your fault.
