Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My childminding gang have been short listed for a wonderful award - Yorkshire young fund raisers. ( an award presented in Leeds ) In total alongside myself we have raised over 7k to help family’s for various charity’s.
I have two grandchildren 10, and 7 that live with heart disease. The little one has had numerous heart surgeries, tracheotomy, pacemaker, non working tummy so fed into his bowel and carries a drainage bag. He is also at night attached to a life support machine. The eldest has just had heart surgery and been left breathless, he will need another two open heart surgeries within the year.
After a meeting with the children last week they wanted to set a new target - I suggested £1000 they want to raise £3000 by end of October, Is this actually possible?
Why ? The reason they want to secure £3000 by the end of October is to help family’s come together by arranging social activities. I am the new Yorkshire coordinator and want to bring family’s together. Last year I was successful with receiving lottery funding and held a Christmas party in Leeds and sent numerous heart family’s to legoland overnight. The feedback was glowing.
I would love to be able to arrange more fun activities for family’s but this is not possible without your help.
. Heart diseases is the number one child hood killer and there simply is very little awareness or very little social activities or financial help. This is unlike other diseases. Please help these young fundraisers help children with heart conditions.
We have booked many events and have wrote to celebrities and local businesses in the hope people will support us.
Please help my children achieve this by donating, they are amazing. As well as fundraising they like to raise awareness for children with additional needs.
