Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of you will know in February of this year I was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma. Following this I was then told that the cancer had spread to my brain and in April I underwent brain surgery to remove a tumour. Unfortunately that wasn't the end, I have now been told that that the cancer is present in multiple tumours in my lungs, under my arm and my breast and I'm now on a programme of oral chemotherapy.
Over the past few months I have spent a lot of time on Ward 94 of the Bexley Wing, St James Hospital Leeds. The ward is funded by a Charity - Teenage Cancer Trust for 17-24 year olds and has 9 in-patient beds and a day-care facility. All bedrooms are really comfy with music, TV, DVDs and gaming facilities and Wifi with laptops.
The specialist nurses have been AMAZING! The ward is so comfortable and friendly and also gives my Mum loads of support too! To thank them for everything they are doing for me I want to give something back by raising some much needed money so they can continue offering people like me the support they need in this really difficult situation.
Love Freja xx
On the 9th November 2015 Freja sadly lost her brave battle with cancer. Life can be so unbelievably cruel to take such a beautiful, kind, loving soul so early.
We know Freja would be so proud of the amazing amount you have all raised on behalf of the Teenage Cancer Trust. Let's continue making her shine!
Thank you so much for your support.
