I am running the London Marathon in support of RP Fighting Blindness which is a charity set up to support sufferers of Retinisis Pigmentosa. This is a condition where the deterioration of the retina leads to reduced vision and in most cases blindness.

Our son Christopher has this condition and as a result we have become aware of both Chris' current and future needs and that of thousands of other sufferers with the condition.

Up until recently there has been no treatment for this condition however initial trials of stem cell research have now shown positive results and with further support and funding we believe a major breakthrough can be found to treat current sufferers and offer hope in future diagnosis.
