Snowdon Mountain Challenge · 10 June 2012
Hey everyone, thanks for taking a few minutes out of your day to visit our donations page.
I am taking on the Snowdon mountain challenge on 10th June 2012 to raise money for Marie Curies Cancer Care and would really appreciate your help to raise funds, so Marie Curie can continue helping those suffering with cancer.
Cancer has effected at least everyone I know in some way so it is not something we can hide away from, the ever growing demand and need for hospital facilities and nurses means that maybe not everyone will recieve the care they require, or the option of dying at home with their family.
Even just a small donation can help....
£20 pays for a Marie Curie Nurse for 1 hour in a paitients home.
£180 pays for a full 9 hour shift for a Marie Curie Nurse in a patients home.
£235 would pay for attendance at a Day Therapy unit for one day in a Marie Curie Care Hospice.
£515 pays for the cost of caring for a patient in a Marie Curie Hospice for a day.
So no matter how small the donation it can be put towards something great.
I have lost many people I love to cancer and enjoy taking part in challenges such as this one, the climb up and down Snowdon helps me remember them and to keep fighting for a better future.
And I would just like to thank you now for joining in the fight. Your donation is very much appreciated not only by us but by the people it helps.
