***HAIR SHAVED AND THE TRIATHLON COMPLETED***
Firstly thank you all very much for being so generous in with donations, so far I have raised just over £1510. I know that it will be very much appreciated by the The Psoriasis Association.
The triathlon was extremely hard work but I completed it and was 111th overall and 46th in the 'old gits' section so wasn't too shabby a performance. Unfortunately for my family I have caught the bug and am now looking at the next one to complete (obviously I won't be hassling for sponsorship!)
Talking of sponsorship is it not a little funny that it takes a couple of months to raise £650 for a triathlon with all the training etc. and approximately 4 minutes to raise nearly a £1000 because I promise to shave my head...
Again thank you all very much for your sponsorship, it made it all worthwhile.

****AN EVEN MORE IMPORTANT UPDATE****
The triathlon is now a couple of days away and to say I am getting a little nervous is an understatement. However the fundraising is not going quite to plan as I am still £350 away from my target.
As an added incentive if I pass the £1000 mark by Sunday evening I will shave all my hair off (no.1 clipper to be exact) before the event.
****IMPORTANT UPDATE***
Unfortunately my Achilles tendon flared up in training at the beginning of January and despite physiotherapy I have been told not to run. Obviously I am not going to miss the opportunity to raise money for a cause that is so close to my heart so I have entered the Tonbridge Triathlon (my first!) on Monday 2nd May.
500m swim, then a 25km cycle and finally a 5km run...a walk in the park so to speak!
Anyway thank you to all that have already donated and apologies to anyone who wanted to mock me as I struggled up Fordcombe Hill...

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I will be running the Tunbridge Wells half marathon on Sunday 27th February to raise funds for the Psoriasis Association, a little known charity that helps sufferers of Psoriasis, one of which is my five year old daughter Tallulah.
For those that don't know what Psoriasis is, it is a skin condition where the usual replacement of the skin is speeded up leaving a psoriatic plaque, or patches of scaly skin to you and I. I realise that this is not life threatening so strictly speaking there are many other more worthy causes, but it is something very dear to my heart. As she grows older not only will it affect her physically, but also her self confidence as it will significantly affect her appearance.
The association not only funds research into the presently incurable condition, and helps sufferers with advice on treatments etc. but also highlights the condition to the public and how sufferers are perceived.
So please dig deep and donate now, and if possible come and shout at me to stop moaning (as I inevitably will) as I run up Fordcombe Hill on the 27th...
