Story
Ever since I had a skiing accident which stopped me from doing any sport for a number of months, I realised that I always liked (and possibly needed) a bit of a challenge. For me the Marathon des Sables (MdS) is right up there with being one of the toughest events to take part in. I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to take part and am really looking forward to the (serious and rather daunting) challenge ahead of me.
As part of my work I come into regular contact with young people who aspire to be the best that they can be. Sometimes they need a little support so that they can get out there and achieve their dreams. The Motivation & Learning Trust does just that; it supports, develops and enhances the lives of young people so that they can make a meaningful contribution to society.
Seldom do I ask family and friends for charitable support however on this instance and given that I am running the ‘toughest foot race on earth’ I would ask you to dig deep and support me on this crazy venture albeit 2 years in the making!
I have had to change fund raising pages given the time it has taken to get to the start line due to COVID. I am delighted (and grateful) to have raised £1215 already but am keen to raise even more!
Thank you in advance for your contribution no matter how small!
