Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
On the 24th July 2015, Gareth Wren and I will be setting off from John O'Groats in Scotland to ride to Lands End in Cornwall.
We aim to cover an average of 100 miles a day, unsupported and independantly, staying in youth hostels (or potentially your house ;D) along the route. As the crow flies, JOGLE is 837 miles but being as this is a bucket list kind of trip we decided we'd go a bit scenic and make it up to 1000 miles.
Any money raised by the ride will be donated to the Oliver Fisher Special Baby Care Trust in Medway, a spectacular charity doing amazing work which is very close to our hearts. The Doctors and Nurses on the unit produce the highest standards of care not only for sick and premature babies but also for the parents of these children who are going through the scariest and most upsetting set of experiences most of us could imagine.
The unit relies heavily on donations and the fundraising work of the Oliver Fisher Trust to ensure they can purchase the vital equipment needed to ensure they can continue to deliver the best possible care to the babies they are looking after.
Therefore, in loving memory of George Peter Pilcher, we are hoping to raise money which can be directly used to fund vital equipment that may literally save a babies life.
There are several companies that organise similar trips but due to us riding this route unsupported we can ensure that every single penny raised will go directly to the Oliver Fisher Trust.

Thanks a lot,
Nick and Gareth
