Amanda bought me a tandem skydive for my birthday, so I would like to use this opportunity to raise awareness to meningitis.

I will be doing a tandem skydive on the 9th July 2011 to raise money for Meningitis UK, my son Ben was affected by meningitis when he was 9 months old, Ben spent 6 weeks in hospital 3 of them in intensive care.

Ben is now 19 and the meningitis has left him profoundly deaf and autistic, whilst Ben struggles from day to day he has acheived so much and I am very proud of him. 

I would like to raise as much money as I possibly can for Meningitis UK in the hope that one day Meningitis becomes an illness of the past.
