In April 2022 I will be running the London 1/2 marathon for a charity close to my heart , Leukaemia care.
My nan (Dawn Penny) was diagnosed in 2019 with a rare type of Large Granular Lymphocytic Leukaemia.
Nan had been getting poorly which as those who know her will know she doesn’t really get ill., However, due to the recurring illnesses she was eventually seen and diagnosed. In this time we have seen her battle this awful illness and do her best not to let it beat her or get her down, even when we know she is tired and worn out she continues to push through and be the strong brave lady that she is.
Despite all the other complications she has faced she still fights through and shows a huge determination in living life to her full potential, she is a true inspiration. Sadly this awful illness is incurable and I want to do my part by running this marathon. I would appreciate any donation that’s made no matter how big or small.
