Hello All!
You may or may not be aware that I will be soon cycling 450 miles and going up and down some mountains to raise much needed cash for Andover Young Carers
Why Andover Young Carers
A young carer is defined as a child or young person who is undertaking a significant caring role for a family member with a long-term illness or disability, including mental ill-health and drug or alcohol problems. Andover Young Carers provide support by offering counselling, activities, outings, life skill, homework and after school clubs, and signposting to other support services, they want to ensure Young Carers have the best possible life chances, following an assessment of individual needs, by providing approiate respite and support for them. The provide the children and young people with special outsing and events which are arranged during the summer and other school holidays. So why wouldn't i support the amazing cause?
Why am i cycling 450 miles?
I like wearing lycra and the idea of putting sudocreme in those special places. No, seriously, I was offer the opportunity to start a bike ride at the base of Ben Nevis, climb it, go down it to Scaffell Pike climb that then go down it, cycle to Snowdon climb that then cycle down to the end with a bunch of great lads and girl and i couldn't think of a reson not to! I like a challenge and it's a great opportunity to help a great charity, so give me your money.
