I’m running the London Marathon!

Those of you who know me will know that this is something I have wanted to do for YEARS but various surgeries and travels have always managed to get in the way. Following a surprise win in the Borneo Marathon in May, I underwent my latest bionic foot upgrade and I might as well test it out.  2019 is the year.

Of course just finishing is not enough. To make it interesting I’m aiming for a finish time of under 3 hours.

For some context that’s 6:50 minutes per mile for 26.2 miles. Which, as I’ve recently found out, is quite hard. (Any hints and tips from those of you who have done this before would be more than welcome!)

In doing this I hope to be able to raise some money for a really good cause; The Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity. The Rainbow Trust provides care and support for families who have a child with a life-threatening or terminal illness.
