On the 27th of June I will be taking part in the Ride for the North Challenge to raise funds for Barnardos Children's Charity with 14 of my friends. It's a 220 mile cycle over 4 days from Harrogate to Edinburgh. Collectively we are hoping to raise over £20K to contribute to the many campaigns run by Barnardos who work directly with over 200,000 children and young people each year and currently run 800 community projects.

With my new found love of cycling, I have never taken part in an event like this so my dear friends and family will agree that this will be a challenge and one which I am very much looking forward to. Thankfully I have 14 other "non professional" cyclist friends to enjoy it with and I will keep you all updated with how it's going at the time.
