Story
The Challenge
On 6th June, as a team we are running 9km, canoeing 12km & biking 37km through Snowdonia in the Samworths Brothers Charity Challenge.

As a runner you may think this sounds easy for me but I haven't sat on a bike for 20 years & have never canoed in my life! & some of the team are starting from scratch.
Why are we doing this?
As a team we wanted to challenge ourselves individually & also raise funds & awareness for an issue that is close to my heart
I've chosen Autism Concern http://www.autismconcern.org/about/ as they are a local charity & I wanted to give something back to them for the help they have provided to us & many other people around the county.
Like a lot of people I didn't really know much about Autism apart from the film Rainman! until my eldest son was diagnosed with it shortly after his 4th Birthday. It's all quite difficult to take in at first but with help from charities like these & attending various courses you realise you can do things so life does not need to be so different & for you and your family you can settle into a routine & it's all pretty normal. However it's good to know that autism concern are always there for you if something changes and you need some advice or ideas about how to do something.
