#UPDATE Now 4,000 Burpees in July -Neville's 2,000 Burpees in July

2,000 Burpees in July · 1 July 2022
In 2004 I won a "Day on the Couch" at work and wanted to give something back to a local and well deserved cause. Galloway's Society for the Blind was the 1st Charity that came to mind and after contacting them I agreed to support them as a volunteer for the day on a canal adventure.
There were men and women of different ages, abilities and different levels of visual impairment. There were 3 within the group who couldn't distinguish between night and day, their impairment was so bad.
We arrived at the canal and embarked into our kayaks. The ability of these guys is amazing, truly amazing. They canoed much better than me, and I was a confident canoeist albeit at a basic level.
The Visually Impaired only get the opportunity to undertake activities such as this because of your generosity and the kindness of the volunteers. This is my way of contributing to a much deserved cause by pushing my body and energy levels to a new level.
Your contribution, no matter how big or how small will be greatly appreciated and it will open up much greater prospects for a wider range of activities that would normally be too challenging for many of the visually impaired to undertake.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
