Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Why would a man of 52 want to jump out of a perfectly good plane and hurtle towards the ground. I don't know but I have always wanted to do it so when I was at a Charity Ball and this was an auction prize I couldn't wait to bid for it. The charity we were raising money for was Hounds for Heroes so it seemed appropriate to add to the fundraising by asking my friends to pledge money when I do it in May.
Why Hounds for Heroes? We have all seen the images of injured service men and women returning from overseas and the heroic stories of recovery both emotional and physical, which touch us deeply and then life quickly moves on. Whilst life also moves on for the injured it is far more challengeing and in ways we can hardly comprehend. Once the physical scars have healed and the prosthetic limb mastered the internal torment goes on and although there is support it is rarely consistent and unconditional. The companionship of a specially trained dog can transform the life of an individual by performing a range of practical tasks and offering constant support and friendship through the darkest times.
I would be most grateful for your support
